Gomionica Monastery is very beautiful example of Orthodox Medieval architecture, located 42 km west from Banja Luka, close to Bronzani
Majdan. Located by the same named river, surrounded by forests and meadows, this is a very good choice to relax and enjoy looking at
human hands influence not violating green nature. Although first written documents that mention Monastery Gomionica are from 1540/41,
there are few reliable data that it was built at the end of 15th century. Several icons in possession of Monastery are work of art of
famous medieval sacral painter Constantine. Nowdays, Gomionica is only female monastery in Krajina. Friendly nuns will offer you coffee,
refreshment and any other help you might need, but leave you soon in order to finish their daily work - cooking, gardening, vex producing,
cheese producing, sewing, looking after they sheep flock, cows, goats, chickens etc.

Krupa Monastery is located near the Krupa River, app. 20 km south from Banja Luka. Monastery was built at the end of 13th century, as a
foundation of King Milutin. During Austro-Hungarian war against Ottoman Empire at the end of 17th century it was ruined several times.
Monastery was rebuilt in 19th century thanks to Savo Kosanović, Sarajevo Archbishop, donation and help of Monastery Gomionica and local
people. During the 1st World War the Monastery was ruined and torched in 1914 and rebuilt again in 60's. A year ago Monastery is renewed
and has beautiful "old but new" appearance. Untouched green nature and rarely clear and astonishing beautiful river running nearby will
make you feel near God.
